Picking up rubbish is one of the simple pleasures in life. There's something special about 'paying it forward' to our fellow nature-lovers and wildlife by removing litter from natural environments. While I often remove small bits of rubbish from the bush (and larger bits on Clean Up Australia Days), this initiative is a great excuse to put an emphasis on leaving the natural world in a better state than we found it - which is what it's all about.
We owe it to our unique and precious native wildlife - as well as our fellow nature lovers.
Please support me in my efforts to raise funds for Taronga's new veterinary teaching Wildlife Hospital, which will have positive impacts on humans and wildlife that will reverberate across future generations.
